A full day trip allows us to fish more places and go to the where the target fish are, even if they’ve moved out of the Sanibel area. A full day trip may include fishing areas up to 60 miles away from the Sanibel boat launch, if needed, to find the best fishing. This is the trip if your goal is a trophy Snook, Redfish, or Shark. We can also target any of the species listed in the 3/4 day trip.
We fish various Tarpon hot spots from the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River to the world famous Tarpon capital of the world, Boca Grande Pass. Our technique is to anchor or drift live and dead baits such as Pinfish, Ladyfish, Mullet and Blue Crabs.
Note: Tarpon are extremely strong fish and can reach weights of 150 pounds or more. Good physical health and strength is required to land these beasts.
Sometimes the best tides and moon phases are at night. We pick up at various locations, depending on the closest access point to where we will be fishing. We anchor up, set lines with various live and dead baits, pour a cup of coffee and wait for all hell to break loose.
3/4 day trips focus on inshore flats, mangrove channels, and near shore reefs out to 9 miles offshore. Species we may target on these trips, depending on season and conditions, include: Snook, Redfish, Asst. Snappers, Sheepshead, Tripletail, Cobia, Barracuda, Bonita, Sharks, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Hogfish, Asst. Jacks, Ladyfish, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Permit, Pompano, Sea Trout, and Asst. Grunts.
1/2 day trips are limited to the inshore/nearshore areas of Sanibel and Pine Island. This is a great way to catch some fish, have a great lunch at a local waterfront restaurant, and be back by 1:00 PM.
Wildlife tours explore the backcountry mangrove channels of Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, Pine Island Sound, and Matlacha pass. This is a slow-paced tour as most areas do not allow internal combustion engines. We run on the big engine until we reach the park and then switch to a Rhodan 36 volt, 120 pound thrust electric motor. This quiet approach allows us to view the wildlife without spooking or endangering them.
Note: Alcohol consumption in moderation is permitted, however, the Captain reserves the right to end the trip and return to port if anyone in the party, in the Captain’s opinion, becomes intoxicated to the point of being a safety concern. Illegal drugs are not allowed. No refunds will be made for violations of the above.
Prices are for 4 passengers. Additional passengers can be added at $50 each (6 passengers max.)
